Duncan Houldsworth is a Lecturer in Information Systems with extensive experience in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and strategic technology implementation. He is currently completing an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration at the Graziadio School of Business, Pepperdine University, with research focused on the successful implementation of AI in mature organizations. His dissertation involves case studies from major firms in the banking and telecommunications sectors.

Before his doctoral studies, Duncan earned an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, an MSc in Marketing Management and Strategy from Nottingham Business School, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Warwick.

At Chapman University’s Argyros College of Business and Economics, Duncan has designed and delivered courses in Applied Business Analytics and Foundations of Business Analytics. He has mentored over 500 students, guiding their transition into professional careers or advanced studies. Duncan has also served as Academic Director, leading the development and launch of Chapman’s Master of Science in Business Analytics program.

Professionally, Duncan has held senior executive roles in marketing science and analytics, including Senior Vice President at Omnicom Precision Marketing Group, and Vice President positions at Time Warner Cable. He founded and managed PURSEIA, a data strategy consultancy serving major enterprise clients. His expertise spans data-driven strategy, consumer analytics, CRM, and advanced modeling techniques, bringing practical insights and real-world experience into his academic roles.
