Maia Young is an associate professor of organization and management and serves as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs. She earned her PhD from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and worked at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management for 13 years before joining The Paul Merage School of Business in 2017. Her research examines the psychology of individual decision making in the workplace, particularly the way that decisions can be affected by emotions, culture and religion.

Prof. Young’s research has been published in Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management, American Psychologist, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making and Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology. It has been covered by various media outlets, including The Economist, NPR’s Marketplace, strategy + business, Inc.com, Science Magazine and Psychology Today.
