Richard Needham is an experience attorney and deal maker. Mr. Needham brings a unique perspective and skill set to representing clients. As a partner at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, Mr. Needham represented clients in a wide variety of real estate and corporate matters. Respected for his business and deal making skills, Mr. Needham was invited by a client to partner in a real estate development company. Mr. Needham accepted and spent 7 years as a principal in a real estate development company, specializing in medical office buildings and other healthcare real estate. As a real estate developer, Mr. Needham was responsible for handling all aspects of project development, including feasibility studies, site selection, due diligence, land acquisition, budgeting, financing, project design, entitlement, value engineering, construction, marketing, leasing, tenant relations, property management, and disposition for over 700,000 square feet of commercial buildings. Now as real estate attorney at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, Mr. Needham focuses on commercial real estate. His experience encompasses a wide range of transactional real estate matters, in acquisition, entitlement, development, construction financing, permanent financing, joint ventures, leasing and dispositions. His represents developers, investors, borrowers, lenders, companies, non-profits, cities and redevelopment agencies handling their real estate needs in all products types, including medical offices, professional offices, retail, industrial and senior care.
