Steven Danley earned both his Masters of Business & Public Administration and BA in Political Science from UCI. Mr. Danley is currently President & CEO of SD Consulting, Inc., a firm that provides management consulting services in fields such as human resources, performance auditing, and organizational assessment and rehabilitation. In September 2016, Mr. Danley co-authored and published a new book entitled Management Diseases and Disorders: How to Identify and Treat Dysfunctional Managerial Behavior. The book has received publicity and acclaim from the Society of Human Resource Management and BlueInk Reviews. For 33 years, Mr. Danley previously worked for the County of Orange (18,000 employees, $5.6 billion budget) in a number of highly diverse and critical executive assignments, including Chief Human Resources Officer and Performance Audit Director, reporting directly to the elected Board of Supervisors. Many of his team’s audits received national and local acclaim, including Harvard University/Ash Center for Democratic Government and Innovation, naming Orange County’s performance audit operation as a national Bright Idea. On the academic side, Mr. Danley has taught with UCI for over a decade, and given classroom presentations at UC Santa Barbara and Biola University. In his spare time, Mr. Danley spent 30 years as a NCAA and High School Basketball Official, and was a member of the Patient Advisory Council at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California.
