Jingyuan Hu is an Assistant Professor of Operations and Decision Technologies at the Paul Merage School of Business, UC Irvine. He received his PhD in Operations Management from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia. His research focuses on healthcare operations, public sector analysis, and policy design, with an emphasis on developing data-driven models that bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical decision-making. His work integrates econometrics, machine learning, and optimization to address challenges in healthcare access, social impact operations, and AI-driven decision support. His research has been recognized at leading conferences and journals, and he was a finalist for the 2024 INFORMS Pierskalla Best Paper Competition for his work on enhancing equitable access to healthcare services.
