Joshua Hernsberger is a Lecturer at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. He previously held a faculty position at the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University. He has taught strategic management and other business classes at the undergraduate, full time MBA, and executive MBA levels. Professor Hernsberger holds a PhD in Management from the University of California, Irvine.
Professor Hernsberger's research focuses on how social approval assets influence the decisions made by boards of directors and important financial market actors. His research has been published in prestigious journals such as the Academy of Strategic Management Journal and Current Topics in Management. Professor Hernsberger also has extensive industry experience. Prior to becoming a professor, he founded an internet retail company and worked for Caesars Entertainment as a pricing strategy analyst and a poker dealer.
