Jana Cheng is the Programs Director of Recruitment and Admissions for the Specialty Masters Programs at the University of California, Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business. In this role, Jana oversees recruitment strategies, enrollment management and marketing lead for 4 programs including the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), Master of Finance (MFIN), Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) and Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIE) programs.

She joined the Merage School in 2015 to assist with admissions coordination for the Master of Professional Accountancy program, and during her tenure developed partnerships pathways with local community colleges, implemented admissions process improvements and increased engagement through the student ambassador program.

In addition to serving in the national Graduate Accounting Leadership Association (GALA) membership committee, Jana is also the community building co-chair of the Asian Pacific Islander (API) Staff and Faculty Association; UCI Wellness Ambassador; and UCI Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) Staff Advisor. She is a proud UCI alumna earning a Bachelor or Arts degree in Criminology, Law and Society, a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from the UCI Division of Continuing Education, and an MBA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on digital marketing entrepreneurship and strategic innovation.
