Vanessa Marcin is the Associate Director of Career Services at the Paul Merage School of Business. Vanessa serves in a key role as facilitator between the University of California, Irvine Career Center and our BA in Business Administration majors. She actively develops internship and career opportunities for our students, and serves as our program’s representative to the external community.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Vanessa started her career in national politics working as a Press Assistant for Congressman Jerry Lewis, and as an Assistant Communications Director for the Senate Energy Committee. Prior to joining the Merage School, Vanessa worked as an Account Executive for social mobilization and marketing agency Different Drummer, where she developed publicity campaigns for a variety of documentary films. She was the Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions for the Merage School’s MBA from 2011-2013.

Vanessa earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Mass Communications at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a 2011 graduate of our MBA program where she specialized in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior.
