Chenqi Zhu is an Assistant Professor in the area of Accounting. Professor Zhu received a BA in Finance & BS in Mathematics from Renmin University of China, a M Phil in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is working on her PhD in Accounting at New York University. Her research interests are in empirical capital markets research. She is particularly interested in paradigm changes in information provision and dissemination in the digital age as well as in information frictions faced by innovative companies. With technology and innovation being the central drivers of economic growth, companies nowadays invest heavily in intellectual property such as R&D to sharpen their competitive edge.
